My Journey into Filmmaking

My filmmaking journey started earlier than I could have imagined—at just 13 years old. It all began with a school project where I had to recreate the movie trailer for a horror film. That was the first time I truly experienced the magic of cinema, and I was completely captivated. There was something so fascinating about telling stories through visuals and sound, and from that moment, I knew I wanted to explore it further.

As my passion for filmmaking grew, I eventually had the chance to take it to the next level when I joined the Filmcraft class at the New York Film Academy. Writing my first script for that class was an important moment. To my surprise, my script was selected as the best in the class, giving me the incredible opportunity to bring it to life as my first class short film. That experience was unforgettable—it not only gave me my first taste of directing but also solidified my love for storytelling.

From there, I kept pushing myself to learn and grow, diving deeper into the filmmaking process. Every project, no matter how small, was a chance to gain experience and immerse myself in the world of cinema. Eventually, all that hard work led me to my debut as a filmmaker with the horror short film “Speak No Evil.”

“Speak No Evil” has been an incredible milestone in my journey. Not only was it my first major project as a filmmaker, but it also gave me the opportunity to travel, showcase my work, and receive awards and recognition. It’s been a surreal experience to see something I created resonate with so many people.

Filmmaking has taught me that every story has the power to connect, to inspire, and even to scare—in the best way possible. And this is just the beginning of what I hope will be a lifelong journey in the art of storytelling.
